#Unofficial by the numbers: ticket citations UPDATED
As of 8 p.m., 157 notices to appear were issued, of which 78 were issued to University students, according to Jennifer Payan, staff member at the University of Illinois Police Department.The nature of the citations were as follows:
- 14 citations for adult responsibility, or providing alcohol unlawfully to minors
- 3 cases for possession or purchase of kegs
- 83 notices to appear for minor in possession of alcohol
- 3 notices for open alcohol
- 45 cases of public possession of alcohol
- 1 notice for public urination
- 4 notices for sale to a minor
- 3 cases of throwing objects from a balcony
- 1 citation for unlawful use of identification
